Community Wildfire Protection PlanWildfires are a growing concern in Colorado especially in areas that are inside the wild land-urban interface areas. If you live inside an area where your community is authorized by a Community Wildfire Protection Plan than you may be eligible to take advantage of some tax deductions.
What is Community Wildfire Protection Plan? It is a plan that must be approved by a local government entity, local fire department and the Colorado State Forest Service in accordance with guidance established by the Wildland Fire Leadership Council. It must identify and prioritize areas for hazardous fuel reduction treatments and recommend the types and methods of treatments. It must recommend measures to reduce structural ignitability.
